Child Protection

Dale & Younis Legal specialise in child protection matters and are qualified to provide advice and representation in the Children’s Court in Victoria.

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) application process can be daunting.

We have significant experience in matters relating to child protection proceedings in the Children’s Court. We have acted on behalf of parents, grandparents, foster carers and also as direct representation for children. We listen to our clients, provide sound advice, and advocate for the reunification of families.

As panel members with Victoria Legal Aid, subject to eligibility, we are able to apply for a grant of legal aid on your behalf.

Family Violence & Personal Safety applications (Intervention Orders):

There is an extensive overlap between child protection proceedings in the Children’s Court and family violence.

We are here to assist our clients in responding to applications for intervention orders and assisting those who have been affected by family violence.

Youth Crime

We offer consistent representation for young people charged with criminal offences in the Children’s Court.

We are members of the Victoria Legal Aid Youth Crime panel.
